Why futsal players wear grip socks
Futsal is football with the space taken away. Everything happens closer and faster: the pivot, the sole roll, the toe poke, the turn out of a corner with a defender on your back. Futsal shoes have a flat gum sole that grips a hard floor beautifully. Inside the shoe, though, a standard sock slides on every pivot, and on a flat sole you feel that slide more than you ever would in a boot.

Do grip socks work for futsal?
Futsal is pivots and quick turns in a small space, and each one loads the foot against the shoe. On a flat-soled futsal shoe you feel internal slide more than in a boot. Grip socks hold the foot to the shoe so it turns with the shoe instead of inside it.
Can you wear grip socks with futsal shoes?
Yes, any futsal or indoor shoe. Grip socks are cut like a standard sock with grip pads on the sole, so the fit is unchanged. Some players drop a half size in the shoe once the foot stops sliding forward.
Do you wear grip socks over or under futsal socks?
If your team plays in long socks, put the grip sock on first and the team sock over it; many players cut the foot off the team sock so only the grip sock is in the shoe. If you play in calf socks, wear the grip sock on its own.
Calf or knee grip socks for futsal?
Calf for most players. Knee if your team wears long socks and you want the grip sock to be the full leg. Same Dual Grip™ sole on both.
Do grip socks work on indoor courts and sports halls?
The grip is inside the shoe, between foot and insole, so the floor surface doesn't change it. Wooden sports hall, rubber court, indoor turf, the sock does the same job.
Are there junior grip socks for futsal?
Yes. Junior calf grip socks cover players roughly aged 6 to 12 and carry the same Dual Grip™ sole as the adult range.
